Stan Hywet is open Memorial Day, Monday 5/27 Stan Hywet is usually closed to the public on Mondays. But on holiday weekends, we open the gates and offer tours (self-guided only) on Memorial Day and Labor Day, if you're planning ahead. Make plans to visit on Memorial Day, Mon. 5/27 with your family and friends and enjoy a Manor House tour and our gorgeous bursting-with-color historic gardens. Our cafe serves lunch and sweet treats. Or pack a picnic (no outside alcohol, please) to enjoy in our picnic area before or after a tour. Enjoy a tour, stroll the gardens and don't miss: Manor House Inside Out, Outside In:  Health, Fitness and the Beauty of the Land highlights popular sports of the 1920s that were enjoyed on the estate; including swimming, golf, hunting, ice skating and tennis. Interactive Touch-it Stations augment many of the displays.   Corbin Conservatory Garden Under Glass: A Lush Tropical Oasis With funding from the Mary S. and David C. Corbin Foundation, we've transformed this “room” into a restorative and relaxing environment with a variety of palms, bromeliads and other plants, complete with a sandstone waterfall and low stone walls that curve throughout the space.   On the grounds At Home with Nature: A Giant Habitat Experience features interactive installations built on a colossal scale. Children and adults will be encouraged to walk inside, outside, up, down and all around the giant bird’s nest, huge spider web, critters’ hollow and massive bee hive.  Molly's Shop & Cafe  Grab a bite for lunch, have some frozen custard in Molly's Cafe. Check out the great variety of plants for the garden at our Plant Sale including our Stan Hywet Home Grown series of plants in our outdoor Garden Shop at Molly's. Inside Molly's, you'll find great gifts and Stan Hywet logo items. Some details to help you plan your visit: -The front gates and admissions open at 10am.
