Gardens, Gate Lodge & Greenhouse
Enjoy Stan Hywet’s historic gardens and grounds at your own pace on this self-guided tour. The tour includes all gardens, the Gate Lodge and the Corbin Conservatory.

NEW! Guided Garden Tour - June 1 through Labor Day

 The Guided Garden tour focuses on historical landscape elements on the Estate as well as Warren Manning and Ellen Biddle Shipman, the landscape designers who created the gardens. The tour lasts 1 hour, 15 minutes and is only cancelled due to inclement weather.  Please note that this is not a plant-identification tour.

Gardens on the tour include the Great Meadow, the London Plane (Sycamore) Tree Allee, the Dell, the English Garden, the West Terrace, the West Terrace Overlook, the Perennial Border, the Bowling Lawn, the Japanese Garden, the Lagoon, the Birch Tree Allee, the Great Garden, the Rose Garden, the Breakfast Room Garden, and the Elliptical Garden. 

This tour is offered once daily at 11am.

Non-member student (6-17 yrs): $9

Garden Tour + Self-Guided Tour:  Non-member guests on the Guided Garden Tour may add-on a self-guided Manor House tour for an additional $5.


Self-Guided Manor House Tour
The  Self-Guided Manor House Tour is for visitors who would like to experience Stan Hywet Hall at their own pace. Admission includes Self-Guided Manor House tour with booklet, Gardens, Gate Lodge & Greenhouse Tour, the Gate Lodge and the Corbin Conservatory.

Non-Member Student: (6-17 yrs): $6.00

Guided Manor House Tour
Experience the Manor House through the eyes of a trained interpreter. Visit significant interior spaces including the Great Hall, the Music Room, the Plunge (indoor swimming pool) and the master bedroom. Admission includes Guided Manor House Tour, Self-Guided Garden Tour, Gate Lodge and Conservatory. The tour lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Nooks & Crannies Tour
Are you a museum junkie, inquisitive and always wanting more? Just itching to open that door that say’s “personnel only” or (just because you’re curious) walk down that extra hallway not taken by the tour guide? We understand your enthusiasm! And we have a tour that meets your needs: the Nooks ‘n’ Crannies tour.

This guided behind-the-scene tour of the Manor Housel includes what was the domestic and service areas when the Seiberling family lived at Stan Hywet. Tour includes female domestic bedrooms and an exhibition on the third floor, the Radio Room, the Fourth Floor Tower, museum storage areas and much more. Admission includes Guided Nooks & Crannies Tour, Self-Guided Manor House Tour, Gardens, Gate Lodge & Greenhouse , and the Corbin Conservatory. The Nooks & Crannies Tour lasts approximately 1-1-1/2 hours. Then you may enjoy the self-guide tours of the house and grounds at your own pace. 

Due to extreme heat conditions inside the museum, please call ahead to see if the Nooks & Crannies tour is being offered today.

Please note: The estate and admissions opens at 10:00am; the Manor House & Conservatory open at 11:00am. Admissions, the Corbin Conservatory and the Manor House close at 4:30pm; the grounds close at 6:00pm.
