During the season (April-December) the Estate, gardens, Corbin Conservatory and admissions open at 10am; the Manor House and Gate Lodge open at 11am. Admissions and the Manor House close at 4:30pm; the Corbin Conservatory and grounds close at 6pm.

Guided Manor House Tour

Note: there is no guided tour at 11am on 5/10/2013. The first guided tour starts at 12noon.
Experience the Manor House through the eyes of a trained interpreter. Visit interior spaces including the Great Hall, Music Room, The Plunge (indoor swimming pool) and the master bedroom. Admission includes a Guided Manor House Tour, Self-Guided Garden Tour, Gate Lodge and Corbin Conservatory. The tour lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Just itching to open that door that says “personnel only” or (just because you’re curious) walk down that extra hallway not taken by the tour guide? We understand your enthusiasm! And we have a tour that meets your needs: the Nooks & Crannies tour. This guided behind-the-scenes tour of the Manor House includes what was the domestic and service areas when the Seiberling family lived at Stan Hywet. Tour includes female domestic bedrooms, the Radio Room, the Fourth Floor Tower, museum storage areas and much more.
Admission includes Guided Nooks & Crannies Tour, Self-Guided Manor House Tour, Gardens, the Gate Lodge and the Corbin Conservatory. The Nooks & Crannies Tour lasts a minimum of 1-1/2 hours. Then you may enjoy the self-guided tour of the house and grounds at your own pace.

Grand Estate Tour
Offered at 12:30pm, May 1 – September 30
The Grand Estate Tour combines a guided Manor House tour and a guided historic garden tour and lasts 2-1/2 hours. Experience the former American Country Estate of the Seiberling family through the eyes of a trained interpreter. Guests will discover significant historical landscape elements that made the grounds and gardens unique to the estate and experience what life must have been like to live inside the Tudor Revival Manor House.
Highlights of the Guided Garden Tour include the recently restored West Terrace and Overlook, the Japanese Garden, the Lagoon, the English Garden and the London Plane Tree Allée. Please note that this is not a plant-identification tour. Highlights of the Guided Manor House Tour include the 2,700 square foot Music Room featuring a one-of-a-kind Aeolian Organ, the three-story high Great Hall, Master Bedroom featuring 17th century oak paneling and the indoor swimming pool referred to as "The Plunge."
