At Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, we are proudly guided in our work every day by a mission that is passionately embraced and celebrated by staff, board and volunteers alike: To preserve and share our historic Estate and serve as a resource for educational, cultural and recreational enrichment.
Hall & Gardens
In 1898, F.A. Seiberling co-founded (with his brother, C.W.) The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, naming it after Charles Goodyear, the inventor of the vulcanization process for rubber. It was the turn of the twentieth century and the Industrial Age was forming modern America, where cities grew and industries flourished.
Tours & Attractions
Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is open to the public April through December. The Estate, Corbin Conservatory, gardens and admissions open at 10am; the Manor House and Gate Lodge open at 11am. Admissions and the Manor House close at 4:30pm; the Corbin Conservatory and grounds close at 6pm.
Join us this season as we take you on An Influential Journey, featuring stories of the Seiberings’ travels both domestically and abroad. The family travelled for pleasure and inspiration: many elements at Stan Hywet echo the features of English Manor homes visited prior to the design and construction of Stan Hywet.
