Collections Snapshot
Manor House | Presentations every half hour, 10am – 3:30pm
Did you know Stan Hywet has that in its collection? The Seiberling family amassed an extraordinary assortment of artwork, clothing, furniture and everyday objects, many of which rarely go on display or are hidden in plain sight.
Join Interpretive Manager, Bailey Yoder and Interpretive Specialists, Miranda Beaujon and Pauline Spielman for a closer look at remarkable objects from Stan Hywet’s collections. Discover the stories behind these fascinating pieces and gain a new appreciation for the treasures preserved throughout the Estate.
Presentations take place every half hour, with a break from noon to 2pm.

Secrets from the Archives: Seiberling Travels
Manor House Music Room | Presentations every half hour, 10:30am – 3:30pm
Travel back in time through the journeys of the Seiberling family! Drawing from Stan Hywet’s extensive archival collections, this special program explores how travel shaped the family’s lives, experiences and connections with the world around them.
Discover photographs, letters, journals, documents and other archival treasures that reveal European adventures, trips throughout the United States, business journeys, and visits with family and friends. Learn where the Seiberlings traveled, what brought them there, and what their experiences tell us about life a century ago.
Presentations take place every half hour, with a break from noon to 1pm.

Crafting with Our Education Team

Get creative with a festive, family-friendly fall craft! Members can make their own charming gnome garland by cutting out and assembling colorful gnomes and leaves, then stringing them together to create a cheerful seasonal decoration.
This hands-on activity is a fun way to celebrate autumn, spend creative time together and take home a handmade keepsake.

Self-Guided Nooks & Crannies Tour
Manor House | Tours available from 10:30am – 4:15pm
Go beyond the usual Manor House tour and discover the spaces that offer a glimpse into the daily lives of the people who kept the Seiberling Estate running.
Members will have the opportunity to explore areas not typically included on the self-guided tour, including domestic staff workspaces on the lower level, living areas on the second and third floors, and the infirmary at the top of the tower. Interpretive staff and volunteers will help bring these spaces to life with stories of the people who lived and worked at Stan Hywet a century ago.
Please note: This experience involves considerable walking and stair climbing.

Gardener’s Cottage, Greenhouse & Conservatory Tour
11am – 2pm
Step behind the scenes and discover the spaces that have helped keep Stan Hywet thriving for generations. Members will have special access to the interior of the Gardener’s Cottage, along with the greenhouse and conservatory.
With guidance from horticulture and interpretive staff and volunteers, explore how these essential spaces supported the Estate a century ago and learn how they continue to serve Stan Hywet today. This is a unique opportunity to discover another side of the Estate and the people, plants and work that bring its gardens to life.
Please note: This experience involves stair climbing, particularly inside the Gardener’s Cottage.
