BIG adventures for curious explorers! Join Stan Hywet's Education team for a series of hands-on nature programs designed especially for children ages 7–10. Each session includes an educational activity, a nature-themed craft, and a guided walk around the Stan Hywet grounds. A grown-up is part of the adventure too, adult attendance is required for the duration of the program. Space is limited, so register early! All sessions run 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Members: Adults FREE, Youth $5 | General Admission: Adults $15, Youth $12 Registration is separate for each date, and includes a self-guided grounds wristband. Registration closes at 5:00 p.m. the day before each session.
June 3 — Plants: Dig into the world of plants, then put your knowledge to the test by identifying trees and flowers as you explore the grounds.
July 8 — Pollinators: Learn about nature's hardest workers and visit the Butterfly Habitat to feed a real butterfly!
August 5 — Water & Soil: Discover why clean water and healthy soil matter — then get hands-on testing real water and soil samples.
