Panel Discussion: The Families That Built Akron

August 23 | 2:00pm-3:30pm

Every family has a story. Discover the people and histories behind The Families That Built Akron during this engaging panel discussion featuring community members whose family stories are highlighted in Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens' America 250 exhibit.

Panelists will share personal connections to Akron's past, offering unique perspectives on the families, industries, and individuals who helped shape the city and its legacy. Moderated by members of Stan Hywet's Curatorial and Archives teams, this conversation provides a deeper look into the research, collaboration, and storytelling that brought the exhibit to life.

Whether you've already explored the exhibit or are discovering it for the first time, this program offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with Akron's rich history through the voices of those who know it best.

This program is free and open to all ages.
