Entertaining: You're Invited

Our focus in 2022 is how the Seiberling family used the estate to entertain family and friends as well as the wider Akron community. Fundraisers, meetings, musical performances and lectures were regular occurrences on the estate. The exhibit in the Manor House will showcase how the estate was used as an event space, with a deep dive into the types of parties and events that were held there, and who attended. The exhibit will also examine the role of the domestic staff at Stan Hywet Hall, and what was going on behind-the-scenes to orchestrate a party or event at Stan Hywet.
